notes from the weekend

1. Friday was fun. Ghislain Poirier at Linwood (never heard of it before this show, probably never will again) was like a gathering of former junglists. Great beats, smelly dudes and some cute chicks getting sweaty and throwing there hands in the air when dude played ORIGINAL NUTTAH. Shouts to the Bouncement/Beat Research dudes for making things happen and VJ Zebbler on the great visuals and crazy head-piece. Then E-Room was hipset nation, but I gotta shout Morgan Louis for playing hardcore rave classics and also for closing out with this DJ F.E.X. acid banger!

2. Retail gigs are fun when we get to play house and future music…as long as they are not longer than 4 hours (at which point we start playing smash techno music and everyone looks at us funny).
3. minifunk went off Saturday night. Flix are up here.
4. Found this Daft Punk essential mix from ‘97 today. Amazing tracklist. If you don’t know about 1997 then this should help a little bit. Thanks to GHETTO BASSQUAKE for the heads up & MASALA for the mp3 link.
